Luxembourg Blockchain Week is a five-day event organised by the Luxembourg Blockchain Lab, a common initiative between Infrachain, The LHoFT, LIST, SnT and Letzblock to create and nurture the blockchain ecosystem in Luxembourg.

The uniquely designed programme will examine the application of blockchain in various sectors of Luxembourg and Europe, including logistics, healthcare, technology, research and development, finance, the public sector, climate and digital assets.

More than 35 guest speakers, including the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, and the Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, will discuss blockchain technology, highlighting its potential impact for citizens and businesses.

SnT will take over the organisation of the “Technology” stream on Wednesday 28 April at 2pm, where speakers will discuss the current use of blockchain technology, as well as the implications of regulation in the use of blockchain. SnT’s blockchain experts, Alexander Rieger, a research and development specialist, and Prof. Radu State, Head of the Services and Data Management (SEDAN) research group, will be among the speakers at the event.

The day will conclude with a session featuring speakers from IBM, who will give an overview of their current large-scale blockchain projects, what these projects have in common, and the lessons learned from the dozens of blockchain projects stuck in PoC development phases.

In order to spread knowledge of blockchain technology, the tickets to this event are free.
