By now, it’s a well-known fact that women are underrepresented in leadership roles, on management boards, and in STEM careers. As the business world is increasingly shifting its attention to the start-up scene, it’s become crystal clear the gap continues and even widens when it comes to women in entrepreneurship.

Why is that?

Larissa Best, a trailblazer in gender balance and workforce diversity, is joining us to share 5 challenges women face in their entrepreneurship journey:

  •  Access to finance
  •  Access to information
  •  Training
  •  Access to networks for business purposes
  •  Reconciling business and family concerns

This talk is for you if:

  •  You aspire to become a leader in your field
  •  You’re looking to create your own business
  •  You’re looking to transition from academia to entrepreneurship
  •  You’re interested in diversity and entrepreneurship

While this talk aims to empower women, we want to welcome everyone who wishes to broaden their horizons and learn more about diversity.

Open to students, researchers, and staff of the University of Luxembourg.

Larissa is the director and co-founder of Equilibre, a Luxembourg-based think and action tank delivering research, advisory and advocacy for ‘gender complementarity’ at work – working with companies of all sizes, government bodies and associations to harnessing the power of diversity.

She is the president of the Luxembourg Business Angel Network and is a member of the board of the European Business Angel Network (EBAN) as well as an active early-stage impact investor.
