Official inauguration of the "Streckeisen" in the city of Luxembourg: The mayor, Paul Helminger, handed over a big golden key to rector Rolf Tarrach, Vice rector Lucien Kerger and Anne Christophe, head of SEVE.
Happy faces on Saturday, 27 September: As a delivery symbol of the new UL hall of residence, the mayor of the city of Luxembourg, Paul Helminger, handed over a big golden key to rector Rolf Tarrach, Vice rector Lucien Kerger and Anne Christophe, head of SEVE. The official inauguration took place in front of the beautiful building, conveniently situated at boulevard de la Petrusse No 72 in the city centre. Because of its peculiar form, the historical building bears the name of "Streckeisen" (flat-iron). The city of Luxembourg invested nearly a million Euros into the renovation of the historical building. The hall of residence provides twelve bright and modern rooms on four floors, which all vary between 13, 16 and 20 square meters. Currently, eleven Master students and one Bachelor student are sharing the premises. They all seem excited about living in one of the most aesthetic UL hall of residence and they all promised to look well after "their" new home.
