Victor Monzon Baeza received his Ph.D. from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M, Spain), in 2019, where he served as Associate Professor. His Ph.D. focused on designing new modulation schemes for non coherent massive MIMO based on DPSK applied to future communications systems. He received the best thesis award in 2014 and 2019.
In addition, Victor has worked for the industry in the Space and Defense sectors, participating in several interoperability projects in NATO communications systems, designing military datalinks for sea-ground-air communications.
His research interests are in wireless communications, focusing on massive MIMIO techniques, waveforms for 5G and beyond, satellite communications, specifically their integration into 5G networks, resource management and ground segment and the application of machine learning techniques to wireless communications. Victor joined the Satellite Communications and Signal Processing research group, SIGCOM, led by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas.
