Tom Barbereau is a doctoral researcher with a background in politics, economics, and philosophy (BA from the University of Groningen) and the sociology of technologies (MSc from the University of Edinburgh). Currently, Tom studies Web 3.0 topics including Decentralized Finance, Non-fungible Tokens, and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations more broadly. Beyond these, he researches at the intersection of governance and other distributed/decentral technologies, not least Federated Learning and Self-Sovereign Identity.
