Finnovation Hub

"The Finnovation Hub is assisting the financial sector in further embracing cutting-edge technology – with a view to improve efficiency of processes, reforming business models and advancing digital services, to shape the financial industry of tomorrow."

Research will play a key role in continuing to develop the digitalisation of the financial sector. SnT’s new Finnovation Hub is an initiative that will aim to help Luxembourg continue to develop its reputation as one of the world’s leading financial centres. Supported by the Ministry of Finance, the Finnovation Hub is headed by Prof. Jean Hilger, who will be identifying key areas of improvement for Luxembourg’s financial institutions, and working with SnT researchers to develop the groundbreaking technologies that will resolve them.

It is in the nature of financial institutions to make evolutionary changes to their business models over time. However, the ability for a technology to enter and disrupt the market, changing a process completely, should not be overlooked. The Finnovation Hub will be assisting the financial sector in further refining their technology - with a view to improve competency, productivity and help reduce costs, aspects that institutions frequently compete with each other on.

Supported by the Ministry of Finance, the Finnovation Hub is looking for industry relevant content that can be developed with leading industry partners. Industry relevant content topics can either favour the competitive position of an individual partner of benefit a mutualised setting.
