Physics of Living Matter Group is accepting applications for PhD and Postdoc positions to study :

  1. Active microbial response under fluctuating environments     
  2. Topology mediated adaptive mechanics in soft and living matter
  3. Biophysics of Transport & (surface) Sensing at the Microbiome-Human Interface

Sengupta Lab is seeking outstanding and highly motivated candidates with:    

  • suitable background in cross-disciplinary research or in a field relevant to the topic 
  • knowledge of fluid mechanics and quantitative imaging/analysis (will be a plus)
  • willingness to work in an inter-cultural and international environment 
  • fluency in English (mandatory) – English is the working language
  • flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
