Mr. Florent Marciacq, M.Sc., M.A., PhD cand. is Research Associate at the European Governance Programme of the University of Luxembourg. He benefits from a research grant from the Luxemburg Research National Fund (AFR 2718121).

He works at the University of Luxembourg and University of Vienna on a joint-PhD project on the Europeanisation of national foreign policies in non-EU Europe. Florent Marciacq is also Research Advisor to the Felix Kreissler Research Department of the Vienna Diplomatic Academy, and he was OSCE researcher in residence in 2011.

Florent Marciacq has participated in numerous conferences in Europe and beyond, and has published in peer-reviewed journals (e.g. East European Politics, Journal for Contemporary European Research, Perspectives on European Politics and Society), specialised magazines (Questions internationales, P@ges Europe) and in the press. Florent Marciacq is co-editor of the peer-reviewed journal Studies of Changing Societies and co-editor of the Balkan section of the Regard sur l'Est magazine.

Florent Marciacq graduated in political sciences from the Vienna Diplomatic Academy (MAIS) and in economics from the ESC Reims (MSc). He previously worked as chargé de mission for H.E. Dr. Peter Jankowitsch, former Austrian Foreign Minister and currently Secretary General of the Austro-French Centre, an intergovernmental organisation promoting regional cooperation in Europe and socioeconomic development in the Western Balkans. Prior assignments include an internship at the European Court of the Auditor, Luxembourg.

Cooperation and integration theories; Europeanisation; European institutions; EU politics and policy-making; Foreign policy analysis; security studies; International Organisations (OSCE, UN, Nato); Nationalism; Political parties; transformation of legal regimes; Western Balkans politics and security issues; Chinese contemporary politics, the political economy of the Black Sea region.
