I am a critical sociolinguist with a particular interest in minority languages in multilingual environments.  My current research focus is on language policies, practices and ideologies relating to minority languages in Luxembourg and New Zealand, in contexts including workplaces, advertising, the new media and everyday literacy practices. I teach courses in sociolinguistics, multilingualism, minority languages, language ideologies and language policy.
