Susana is a PhD Researcher at the Institute of Political Science. She is working on how central banks are supporting the transition to a green economy, with a particular focus on their monetary policy frameworks. Her PhD project is supervised by Prof. David Howarth.

Prior to joining the University of Luxembourg (December 2021), Susana was Senior Office Administrator at the European Central Bank (2016-2021), Program Manager of Executive Education at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics (2010-2014) and Trainee at the African Development Bank (2009). Susana holds a Master’s degree in International Finance and Economic Policy (University of Glasgow), a Diploma in Management (Universidade Católica Portuguesa), a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and was an Erasmus student at the Università degli Studi di Salerno (Italy).
