Ramin Forghani is a doctoral researcher and an academic staff member at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Luxembourg. His PhD research project expands on the concept of space diplomacy, while focusing on the uses of remote sensing/satellite/space data in diplomatic processes of conflict resolution. (Supervisor: Josip Glaurdić)

Ramin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Azad University (Iran), a Master of Arts in Terrorism and Security studies from the University of Salford (United Kingdom), and certifications in Human Rights Law and International Law from City, University of London (United Kingdom). He draws from his diverse background in the course of his doctoral research. He has recently contributed seminars on terrorism for the International Relations seminar in the Master of European Governance programme.
