Moritz is a PhD Researcher at the Institute of Political Science. He is working on financial assistance in the European Union with a particular focus on the past and present developments, including reforms in the context of the Euro crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. His PhD project is supervised by Prof. David Howarth.

Prior to joining the University of Luxembourg, he has been working in the unit for European Parliament affairs at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany at the European Union in Brussels. He holds a joint Bachelor’s degree in Franco-German cross-border communication and cooperation from Saarland University and Université de Lorraine, a Master’s degree in European Governance from the University of Luxembourg and a Master’s degree in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.
