Jung Hyun Kim joined the Institute of Socio-Economic Inequality at the University of Luxembourg as a PhD student in February 2021. She is part of the ERC funded CRISP project that explores cognitive aging and dementia from a life course and social perspective with a focus on inequalities. 

Jung Hyun conducts her research “Investigating the role of socioeconomic factors increasing reserves and later-life cognitive health
” under the supervision of Professor Anja Leist. The aim of this project is to detect various risk factors and their effects on cognitive functioning in late adulthood.

In October 2020, Jung Hyun obtained a Research Master’s degree in Economics from Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Jung Hyun holds a Bachelor in Economics from University of Tokyo.
