Julia Furtado is a doctoral researcher at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Luxembourg. Her research interests comprise the dynamics of poverty, socioeconomic and wealth inequality. In particular, the interplay between changes in housing policies and welfare regimes intensifying socioeconomic division.
Julia works as part of the PRO-active Policymaking for Equal Lives – PROPEL project with Professor Lindsay Flynn which aims, among other things, to investigate how housing policies and housing markets interact with both the labor market and the pension market at different levels of analysis contributing to the upward trend in socio inequality.
She completed her Master degree in Sociology in July 2021 at the University of Tilburg, The Netherlands.
