Lukas Mellinger joined the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Luxembourg in October 2020. Since January 2022, he works as a research specialist for the National Contact Point Luxembourg of the European Migration Network (EMN Luxembourg). He holds a Master’s degree in Border Studies from the joint program of the University of Luxembourg, Université de Lorraine, Saarland University, and Technische Universität Kaiserslautern. During his Bachelor’s degree he studied politics of the Near and Middle East at the University of Marburg and Cairo University.
