Library Induction |
Discover the LLC and the services offered at the library through a tour of the facilities. You will learn where to look for documents, where to find them and how to borrow them. You will also learn how to use a-z.lu, Affluences and other services (copy, reservation, etc.). This 60 min training is essential for new students at the University of Luxembourg. |
Documentary Research |
In this 90 min training, you will learn the steps to conduct a successful research and find out how to start a research paper. Through exercises and examples, we will show you how to choose a topic of research, define a research question and start a documentary research online and at the LLC. |
Referencing & Avoiding Plagiarism |
In this training, you will learn the rules of academic referencing and will find out how to avoid plagiarism. Through exercises, you will develop good practices in referencing and will be able to recognise plagiarism. This training is essential for all students that are starting a university degree and need to write original research papers. |
Getting Ready for Exams |
This training will teach you techniques to read effectively, memorise better and to get ready for exams. This training includes plenty of exercises to practice these techniques and learn to study effectively. |
Starting a Systematic Literature Review |
In this training, you will learn what a systematic literature review is and the first steps to conduct a successful review. It will introduce you to the different types of review (meta- analysis, information aggregation, etc.) and popular tools (PRISMA, PICOT question, etc.). This training is particularly adapted for more advanced students (BA3 – PhD) |
Finishing a Research Paper |
Have you ever wished you had a bit more time to finish your paper? This training aims to teach you the essential steps to finish a paper on time and to help you cross the finish line. This training is designed to motivate students to finally finish their paper and give them techniques to submit a polished academic paper |
Time Management |
Did you ever struggle to manage your time and stay focus? This training will help organise your schedule in order to study effectively and finish your assignments on time. Through techniques and exercises, you will learn how to design a schedule that fits your lifestyle. This training is open to all students! |
