As part of the collective effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Encevo is supporting the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) with a donation of 7,000 EUR.
Wearing a face mask and keeping social distance can help contain the spread of the coronavirus, but scientific research also plays an essential role in the fight against the pandemic.
The Encevo Group, the leading energy player in Luxembourg, decided to combine both aspects and distributed more than 5,000 reusable face masks to all employees of the different group entities in Luxembourg, Germany, France, and Belgium. In addition to providing the masks that are currently in high demand and often mandatory, they also launched a fundraising initiative to support local COVID-19 research.
With their internal awareness campaign “Show respect. Wear a mask!”, they encouraged their own employees to take a selfie with their new mask and to upload it to a dedicated website. For each employee participating in the campaign, the amount to be donated by Enveco increased.
In this way, this collective effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic raised a total sum of 7,000 EUR, which will support COVID-19 research conducted at the LCSB of the University of Luxembourg.
