Anne Stöcker joined the Institute for Education and Society (InES) as a doctoral researcher in September 2020. Her main research interests are sociology of disability, inclusion and social participation particularly in schools and families as well as quantitative methods.
Under the supervision of Prof. Carmen Zurbriggen she contributes to work on social participation and emotional well-being in school and is member of the Research Institute Social Cohesion (RISC). In her dissertation, she works on the perception of disability and handicap in central areas of life in relation to social participation.
Anne has a master’s degree in Sociology with focus on social inequality from Bielefeld University and has worked at the Faculty of Educational Science there over three years both in research and teaching. She has four years of work experience in personal assistance to a person with disabilities.
