Vincent Koenig joined the University of Luxembourg in 2007 as a post-doc member of the former EMACS research unit and initiated the set up of the University’s HCI-usability laboratory that he has been heading since. In 2009 he also joined the newly created Interdisciplinary Centre for Security Reliability and Trust (SnT) that he is co-affiliated with as a research scientist. In addition, he is co-affiliated to the recently created LUCET (Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing, created in July 2014). His main affiliation is with the HCI research group, which he is also the head of, and which is part of the COSA institute (COgnitive Science and Assessment) in the faculty of Humanities. Prior to his research at the University of Luxembourg, he held a researcher position at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (where he also prepared his dissertation) and was briefly involved in human resources and research on human factors in air traffic control. With a background in psychology as applied to HCI, his work covers several topics: User centered design, usability and user experience, cognitive ergonomics, computer-based assessment, automotive HCI, usable security and socio-technical aspects of security and trust, human factors in air traffic control, industrial and organizational psychology.
