
Bachelor in Applied Information Technology – Continuing Education Programme
The Bachelor in Applied Information Technology - Continuing Education Programme (BINFO-CEP) at the University of Luxembourg is developed in partnership with the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Center (LLLC) of the Chambre des Salariés (CSL). It offers a course programme that responds to the needs of professionals who want to improve and extend their professional expertise in information technology as part of a lifelong-learning activity.

The Bachelor in Applied Information Technology – Continuing Education Programme has been accredited by the German Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN) in September 2021. |

OBJECTIVES
Information technology is constantly progressing. The main purpose of this 2 year programme is to reinforce and extend the IT background of students with new and modern topics in computer science, with a focus on advanced programming skills. Students will be provided with a solid foundation of fundamental knowledge important in computer science (mathematics, algorithms, programming, software engineering, databases, networks, ...), as well as more advanced skills in certain specific areas often important in professional environments (web applications, mobile applications, software testing, blockchain, ...).
TARGET AUDIENCE
The programme aims at employees, self-employed persons, and job-seekers with some already existing experience with information technology wishing to reinforce their computer skills and validate their professional skills.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
- Developers, Business analysts, network administrators, web masters in all IT-related professional sectors
- Master en Management de la Sécurité des Systèmes d'Information (MSSI) at the University of Luxembourg
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Bac+2 with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the IT domain, or a "Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires/Diplôme de technicien" with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the IT domain.
- Languages: level B2 in English and B1 in French
- Selected candidates must be granted the equivalent of 100 ECTS for their professional experience by the "commission de validation des acquis professionnels de l'Université".
APPLICATION
- Applicants from EU: February to August
- In the situation that less than 15 successful applications are received, the start of a new promotion can be canceled before the start of the first classes.
