Why did you decide to join the European Governance Master Programme?
When I first heard about the Master of European Governance I was strongly reflecting on changing my professional orientation. Not satisfied with the work I had found after moving to Luxemburg, I was looking for a new challenge where I could find the same satisfaction and pleasure I had experienced before in a pharmaceutical company. The MEG programme immediately appealed to me since it dealt with a subject I have always been passionate about: European integration. I thus decided to give it a try and see where it would lead me, hoping though that it would help me to re-orientate my career path towards European affairs.
What did you enjoy most about the programme ?
The quality of the lectures and the diversity of the pedagogical approaches. One could thus in a course be confronted with the American style of teaching - leaving a lot of room for debate - and in the following having to adjust to the French way - almost dictating the notes one had to make. The multicultural aspect of the programme was also reflected in the student population and it was great to study with people having very different cultural backgrounds.
What is it that you do now and did the degree help in your career path?
At the moment I am a PhD candidate at the Institute for Health Policy and Management of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (the Netherlands). The research I am conducting permits me to combine my previous professional experience in pharma and the knowledge acquired with the Master in European Governance.
How did you like Luxembourg?
I love the international dimension you find almost everywhere in this country: shops, businesses, restaurants, radio, tv, you name it, wherever you go, you will hear different languages and meet people from different nationalities. It not hard to be a foreigner in this country!
What were your best memories?
