Students learn the contrasting perspectives that underpin management and business research. Students have the option of writing a research report in the form of a thesis, highlight their motives, conduct research to gather data, consult relevant literature, and follow a structured methodology in order to reach a conclusion that serves as a prescription or solution for the problem. They can also write a business plan. This course is designed to provide students with the basic tools to work with data using the open source package gretl. |
| Organization: | After a short presentation of fundamental aspects and principles, the course relies on interactive classroom discussion based on examples and cases. During the periodic small-group meetings organized over the course of the research project, students' difficulties, challenges and solutions are gathered and actively discussed.
