The University of Luxembourg has just signed a new student exchange agreement with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Founded in 1991, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is today ranked by the Times Higher Education Young Universities Ranking as the leading university worldwide under 50 years of each. It is ranked number 41 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. HKUST has about 15.000 students and 650 faculty members, within four main schools (science, engineering, business and management, humanities and social science) as well as an Interdisciplinary Programs Office, Fok Ying Tung Graduate School and Institute for Public Policy. Global outreach is one of the six key developmental areas of HKUST’s Strategic Plan and the university has developed exchange programmes with 250 universities worldwide.

The new agreement allows for student exchanges in all study fields and will be another valuable addition to the University of Luxembourg’s Global exchange programme, the student exchange programme with partner universities from all over the world.

We are excited about the opportunities the agreement has opened up and are sure this is the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership.
