From 23 to 27 April 2018, the University of Luxembourg’s International Relations Office organised for the first time an international staff training week, for staff members from its partner institutions both within and outside of the EU.

The purpose of the week was to discuss ongoing collaborations, to share knowledge and exchange best practices between International Relations Offices, but also to provide opportunities for networking.

The main topics of the week were:

  1. Digitisation, including the Online Learning Agreement project, Erasmus Without Paper and the MoveON tool for the management of student mobilities
  2. Funding, including the University of Luxembourg Mobility Fund, Fundraising and Research Funding by the Luxembourg National Research Fund
  3. Networks,  including Euraxess and the University of the Greater Region

The programme also included getting to know the three faculties and the interdisciplinary centres, as well as cultural and networking activities.

Participants came from 15 universities in 13 different countries.

Following the success of this first edition, the University of Luxembourg looks forward to its 2nd International Staff Training week in the spring 2019.
