From 8 to 10 September, the annual conference of the WGAB (wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Arbeits- und betriebsorganisation - Scientific Society for Work and Business Organization) took place in Luxembourg.

The aim of this conference is to promote research and teaching in work and business organization at German-speaking universities.

In this context Prof. Peter Plapper and Jeff Mangers had the pleasure to welcome more than 30 colleagues from renowned technical universities from Germany, Italy and Austria. The event took place under the main theme, Digitization of the work environment for sustainable production.

During the two-day conference, professors and selected staff had the opportunity to present their current research results, accompanied by stimulating discussions, a company tour at Luxpet and an interesting industrial lecture by Sébastien Wiertz, Paul Wurth INCUB. The individual contributions of the conference were summarized in a conference volume which is freely accessible under the following link.

Besides the scientific program, the participants were introduced to the country and the history of Luxembourg, for which a big thank you goes to Rita Giannini!

Next year's event will be held in Sydney.
