The International Workshop on Improving Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Tropospheric Products for Meteorology will be held in Luxembourg from 25 to 26 February 2020.
The workshop is part of the VAPOUR project, a 3 year project funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) to enhance the estimation of water vapour field using GNSS and InSAR measurements in doing so improve prediction of local weather model during such as sever weather.
Programme:
The workshop will be aimed at four topics for which we ask individuals/groups to present their findings on in the form of oral or poster presentations.
Session 1: Multipath effects on GNSS estimates of propagation delays due to the neutral atmosphere
Session 2: Estimation of propagation delays and atmospheric water vapour fields from SAR observations
Session 3: Assimilation of GNSS and SAR tropospheric products into NWP models and for tomography
Session 4: Cross evaluations of GNSS and SAR tropospheric products
Several space companies will also present their activities related to the topics of GNSS and SAR.
