The University of Luxembourg hosted the International Standardization Organization Technical Committee ISO/TC 154 plenary meeting in October 2019. International experts from 18 participating countries discussed about the development of new standards related to blockchain, e-commerce and value stream management.

The plenary meeting was divided into six breakout sessions of the working groups. As convener of the group ISO/TC 154/WG7 chartered by ILNAS, the national standardization agency in Luxembourg, Prof. Peter Plapper moderated the talks dedicated to digital business. The global expert team discussed new developments related to blockchain, digital business, e-commerce, and value stream.

Currently, the TC 154 owns 27 standards and works on 8 new global standards. One of these is sponsored by ILNAS and covers the method Value Stream Management (VSM). The plenary meeting agreed on the work programme and activated for global standards for the upcoming year.
