As of 1 January 2020, the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication (FSTC) has become the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) with five new departments. This change is the result of the implementation of the law of 27 June 2018 on the organisation of the University of Luxembourg.
The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) is now divided into five departments with the following heads:
- Department of Mathematics (DMATH): Prof. Giovanni Peccati
- Department of Physics and Material Sciences (DPhyMS): Prof. Alexandre Tkatchenko
- Department of Engineering (DES): Prof. Stephan Leyer
- Department of Computer Science (DCS): Prof. Sjouke Mauw
- Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM): Prof. Iris Behrmann
