The first Esch2022 AI & Art Workshop took place at the Belval Campus of the University of Luxembourg on November 8, 2022, from 2 pm to 4pm. The high school workshops are interactive programmes designed to introduce high school students to some of the exciting interactive AI and art projects developed as part of the Esch22 initiative by a group of artists and students. They are particularly interesting for students of science and art sections because they offer a good opportunity to learn and acquire knowledge, in a recreational and fun way, of computational methods, in particular AI and applications, specially related to the world of AI in art.

During this first workshop, 24 students from lycée Hubert Clément were introduced to AI & Art projects through a live presentation and demonstration. The workshop focused on the use of AI in visual art editing, the cinematic vision of music creation and text generation. At the end, the students were invited to create their own works of art in order to experience how AI can be used in art.

The workshop was headed by Dr. Sana Nouzri and master students Gareev, Keerthana , Murugaraj, who are currently working on AI & Art projects at the University of Luxembourg. and YasmineBarghouti Mansour Vatanpour

The workshop was a great success and the students enjoyed it very much. The students gave mostly positive feedback and said they would be interested to participate in future workshops as well.
