Djenna Hutmacher is working as a psychologist at the Institute for Health and Behavior.
Employed as a PhD student she is part of the project PALUX (Physical Activity Behavior of Children and Youth in Luxembourg: The Role of Physical Education) under the supervision of Prof. Georges Steffgen and Prof. Andreas Bund. During this project, she is interested in analyzing how and to what extent motivation in a physical educational context is transferred to leisure time. The studies are based on the self-determination theory and the theory of planned behavior.
She completed her Master’s degree with focus on clinical psychology at the University of Luxembourg. Her Master thesis focused on the influential perception-filter model of somatoform disorders measured by auditory evoked potentials (EEG) as part of the project INMEDEX (Interoception in medically unexplained symptoms).
