Doctoral Programme in Computer Science and Computer Engineering

Doctoral school candidates must have successfully completed university studies at master level (or equivalent) in computer sciences, operations research, mathematics  or engineering sciences with a speciality in computer science. Candidates with a background in computational finance or bioinformatics may also be accepted, based on their motivation and potential for interdisciplinary research.  Candidates with other degrees may be invited to first enter the Master in Information and Computer Science Research-Track, offered by the University of Luxembourg.

Applicants are required to render evidence of above-average results obtained at university. The applicant’s past career must reveal her/his particular qualification for and dedication to scientific work. Admission will only be considered when funding of the salary/fellowship is guaranteed.

According to the regulations at the University of Luxembourg, the eventual admission to the doctoral school is always subject to formal admission as a Ph.D. candidate by the Rector of the University of Luxembourg.
