Centre for research methods and data analysis

Quantitative research methods and data analysis are becoming increasingly  important for our faculty’s disciplines. Therefore, we offer methods consulting to our academic and research staff covering following topics:

  • quantitative research designs (e.g. sampling),
  • development of questionnaires (e.g. wording of items, question order),
  • field work / data collection (e.g. incentives)
  • how to check the data,
  • how to analyse the data

This service is provided by Dr Andreas Heinz who will also offer courses for PhD candidates in quantitative methodology and data analysis.

Dr Heinz is a post-doc researcher at the University of Luxembourg since March 2012. He graduated in economics in 2004 and received a PhD from the University of Trier in 2008.
