The Master of European Governance welcomes its alumni back to campus for a career event

Having former students come in and discuss their career is a fantastic opportunity for current students to have a vision of what’s life after university.

On April 8th, Programme Director Anna-Lena Högenauer invited 6 alumni of different graduating years to showcase their career since leaving uni.lu

  • Åsa Barton, Head of Sector ‘eID Technical Framework’ at European Commission, DG CONNECT
  • Magali Boers, External expert in the Luxembourg Health Directorate
  • Alessandro Zerbini, Staff Assistant for Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants at NATO
  • Jonathan Ponchon, Public relations officer at the European parliament’s office in Luxembourg
  • Yan Sales, Attaché parlementaire for Demokratesch Partei Luxembourg
  • Augustina BUBLIAUSKAITE, Policy and Liaison Officer at the European Investment Bank.

This event, hopefully the first of a series, focused on careers in European Institutions. Students were eager to learn more about starting a career in the different organizations represented by the alumni and got helpful advice on internships, choosing a path after uni, and how to get their foot in the door. The event was followed by a reception where both students and alumni mingled and got to chat more in depth about working at European Institutions.
