The Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) joins as 13th academic partner the renowned industry competition Industrial Excellence Award 2020.
Since 1995, the Industrial Excellence Award (IEA) competition benchmarks Management Quality for European competitiveness in the industrial and service sectors. This competition focuses on Strategy Deployment, that is, how organisations align distributed activities and knowledge to achieve common strategic goals.
In the past the IEA awarded best practices for lean management (1st Edition) and supply chain integration (2nd Edition); more recently the focus has shifted towards strategy cascading and worker engagement for operational excellence (3rd Edition). In the future the IEA expects that firms will create superior value to individual customers or customer segments through digitally-enhanced processes and data analytics (4th EDITION).
This year, 10* (15**) of 47 European countries are covered: they represent more than a) 20% of the area of Europe, b) 50% of the European population and c) 70% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
