Awarded LSCM students at MIT Research Expo

The IAP, a three-week study period at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a milestone in the curriculum of the Master in Logistics and Supply Chain Management offered by the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management, University of Luxembourg.

A highlight of the IAP is the Research Expo, at which corporate partners, journalists and business professionals are invited to meet the students and discover their research.

The LSCM student team, Philippe Bellion and Tram Ngo Thi Bao, were awarded for the best LSCM thesis poster. Their very promising project “Preparing for the future: Integrating e-business to existing distribution network” will be finalised during the summer semester and will be presented at the Research Fest on 25 June.

Throughout the MIT Supply Chain And Logistics Excellence stay, students have honed their skills and expertise by taking short courses on leadership and specialty topics such as service parts logistics, retailing operations, and green supply chains. Students have deepened their knowledge of key industries by attending a series of industry and MIT speakers (featuring companies such as Addidas, XPO Logistics, Home Depot and Flex) and visiting numerous facilities (such as Ab-Inbev, 6 River Systems, Quiet Logistics, Dell and Boston Scientific).

Ultimately, students have enlarged their professional network, expanded their friendships by meeting with their peers from across the MIT SCALE network which consists of more than 200 master students and more than 1000 alumni.
