This week we are presenting our second interview candidate Grazia Bruzzese, Prix du Barreau de Luxembourg Laureate who completed her Bachelor in Law in 2020.
Q: Can you tell us a little more about yourself?
A: I am Grazia Bruzzese, I am Italian but grew up in Luxembourg, where I currently reside. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Law in 2020.
Q: Besides this award, what was your greatest achievement as a student?
A: My greatest achievement as a student was to have been chosen to represent the University in a moot court and being able to plead, even if on a fictitious case, before some professional judges.
Q: What is the most significant thing you have learned as a Bachelor in Law student?
A: As for my greatest lesson, I guess it was to not be afraid of difficulties during hard times, to keep going and pursuing my dreams.
Q: Tell us about a teacher / mentor who made an impact on you or set you on your present path.
A: It is very difficult to think of one specific teacher since they, more or less, all had an impact on me. As for my mentors, I would say my parents as they have always supported me.
Q: Are you still studying at uni.lu? What are you doing now?
A: I am currently enrolled in the first year of the Master in European Law at the University of Luxembourg.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: In five years, I see myself pursuing the below-mentioned career goal.
Q: What is your ultimate career goal as you see it today?
A: I have a two-fold ultimate career goal. As a first step, I hope to be able to pursue my legal studies by obtaining a PhD. Then, I would like to practice as a lawyer.
Q: Do you have any advice for future students?
A: What I would say to future students is to have perseverance and work hard to achieve your goals, despite some ups and downs that you may encounter. And to do so, I think the most important advice is to be passionate about your studies!
