Prof. Konstantinos Tatsiramos, holder of a joint professorship between the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Institute for Socio-Economic Research (LISER), has been appointed to the Editorial Board of PLOS ONE.

PLOS ONE is an interdisciplinary open access journal, which features research from the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences, medical research and engineering. The Editorial Board includes scientists and researchers from different disciplines who oversee the peer review process and uphold journal policies and ethics standards.

Prof. Tatsiramos will join PLOS ONE as an Academic Editor in Economics. “The PLOS ONE Editorial Board is a community of academics across the globe. I’m very happy to be joining the journal in this capacity and helping promote high-quality, peer-reviewed open access research,” he commented on his appointment.

Holding a joint professorship between the University of Luxembourg’s Centre for Research in Economics and Management (CREA) and LISER since January 2018, Prof. Tatsiramos specializes in labour economics and applies micro-econometrics, with particular emphasis on labour market institutions, unemployment dynamics and mobility.

He holds a PhD in economics from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and worked at the University of Nottingham, the University of Leicester and the Institute of Labour Economics (IZA) prior to joining Uni.lu.
