Please note that each ceremony is followed by a small reception at the Maison des Arts et des Étudiants (MAE) on Belval Campus to give you the opportunity to toast your success.

We kindly ask all graduates as well as their guests to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event. Please consider the heavy traffic. As parking space is limited, we advise you to use public transportation. For more information, visit www.mobiliteit.lu.

Where does my ceremony take place?

All ceremonies take place  at the “Grand Auditoire -1”  of the “Maison du Savoir“ (MSA) Building on Belval Campus, located on 2, avenue de l’Université, L-4365 Esch-sur-Alzette.

All cocktail receptions take place at the “Maison des Arts et des Etudiants” on Belval Campus. For details, please check the map.

How do I get to Belval Campus?

You can find all relevant information regarding your journey on the Belval Campus information page.

As paid parking space is limited, we advise you to use public transportation. Go online to www.mobiliteit.lu for more information and timetables of trains or buses.

Thank you for taking into consideration that heavy traffic during rush hours may delay your arrival.

Where can I find accommodation?

You can find all relevant the information regarding tourist and overnight accommodations at www.visitluxembourg.com

Which solutions are available for attendees with special needs?

Dedicated parking spots as well as handrails are available in front of the “Maison du Savoir” building. The “Grand Auditoire” has dedicated entrances for attendees with special needs.

To better organise your arrival and extend you any required assistance, please inform us as soon as you are registered regarding any special needs via graduation@uni.lu.

We will be happy to welcome and escort you before and after the event.

Is there a dress code?

Your graduation is a meaningful event. Business attire is expected but not mandatory.

Is there a cloakroom?

A manned cloakroom is available at the “Maison du Savoir” Auditoire -1 during your ceremony.

This service is free of charge.

Is there a photographer?

Depending on the ceremonies, there will be a professional photographer.

Terms and conditions: Photographs can be taken for personal use. During the event, the organiser will take pictures and record videos. By attending the graduation ceremony, participants authorise the University of Luxembourg to capture and publish his/her images and videos for communication purposes in relation to the event. The organiser commits to a responsible use of the material. Videos and photos will be used only for communication purposes of the University, which exclude commercial activities.

Can I bring children?

Yes, but we kindly ask you to ensure the children are under the supervision of an accompanying guest.

Age 0-6 years: guest registration is not needed, but the child has no dedicated seat

Age +6: guest registration is mandatory and the child has a dedicated seat

My Invitation

How do I proceed to receive my invitation?

  1. The Study Programme Administrator confirms that you have successfully completed your studies.
  2. You receive an e-mail (to your uni.lu student e-mail) asking you to log in to the Guichet Etudiant and print your transcript of records. You can then validate your transcript or appeal to one or more grades.
  3. If you validate your transcript, you can download your certificate of achievement. If you appeal against your transcript, an e-mail is sent to the Study Programme Administrator. After the Faculty has made a decision on the appeal, the Study Programme Administrator confirms the modification or not, with justification. Then return to point 2.
  4. You can register yourself and your guests for the ceremony.

I cannot longer access my e-mail. What should I do?

It is possible that you can no longer access your e-mails because your password has expired. In this case, you must reset your password via passwordreset.uni.lu. Please also check the explanatory brochure for detailed information on how to reset your password.

Your mailbox is available until the end of December.

My Registration

How do I register for my Bachelor / Master ceremony?

After receiving your invitation to your graduation ceremony via your student email address, please proceed to your and your guests registration via the link provided in the invitation. It is mandatory to register yourself and your guests if you wish to participate.

Registration is open until 23 November but we encourage you to do it as early as possible.

How many guests can I bring?

Due to the uneven number of graduates from one faculty to the other, the number of guests per graduate varies:

FSTM BACHELOR / MASTER: 2 guests

FSTM MEDECINE: 4 guests

FDEF BACHELOR / MASTER: 2 guests

FHSE BACHELOR / MASTER: 2 guests

Can I make changes to my registration?

You can update your information until 23 November. Please note that your last submitted information is the valid one. The e-tickets will be generated and forwarded to you after the registration period ends.

How do the e-tickets work?

You will receive your and your guests e-tickets via your student email address at the end of the registration period or you can download them via the Guichet étudiant as of 23 November 2021.

Access to the ceremony is only possible with a valid, personalised entrance ticket for you and valid tickets for your guests. Each ticket has a QR code and can only be read once. This means the holder of the ticket has only one access right.

The ticket is only valid on the day indicated.

If you do not arrive together with your guests, please make sure they have their e-ticket to access the ceremony.

How can I deregister from the ceremony?

You can deregister from the ceremony via Guichet Etudiant simply by clicking ‘deregister’ until midnight 22 November 2022.

As of 23 November 2022, in order to deregister you will have to send the email to graduation@uni.lu.

I forgot to register, can I attend the ceremony ?

For organisational reasons, you and your guests will not be able to attend the ceremony if you have not registered until 23 November. No exception will be made.

My Diploma

How can I get my diploma if I cannot attend the ceremony?

If you cannot attend the ceremony, you will have the possibility to come to the SEVE office on Belval campus (5th floor, door F) to pick up your diploma in person after 15 December, or have it sent to you by post or express mail. An email will be sent to you after 15 December on your student email address to ask you what option suits you best.

Which language is my diploma in?

Diplomas are issued in English, French and German.

How can I get a certified copy of my diploma?

Please bring your original diploma to SEVE Admission. A certified copy will be established.
Only upon appointment (via Affluences - Appointment with SEVE)

What can I do if my diploma has a mistake?

Please send an email to graduation@uni.lu. A new diploma will be issued. Please note that it can take up to one month.

I lost my diploma. How can I get a new one?

If you have lost your diploma, please write an email to graduation@uni.lu. A statement will be issued to you.
