‘Impresso Talks’ with Dr. Stephanie Seul, University of Bremen

Dr. Stephanie Seul is a historian and research associate at the Institute for German Press Research (Institut Deutsche Presseforschung) at the University of Bremen. Her research focuses on the German and international press in the era of the two world wars, and on media representations of antisemitism and the Holocaust. She has worked extensively with digitised historical newspapers from Germany, Great Britain, the USA, France, Italy and Austria within the framework of various research projects concerning the German- Jewish press 1914-1918, female war reporters during the First World War, and international press reporting on German antisemitism during the Weimar Republic. For the latter project she has compiled her own collection of relevant digitised newspapes, available here.

During the impresso talk, she will present her research practice, the challenges of dealing with this topic and these materials.
