FIDJI: scientiFic engIneering of Distributed Java applIcations

The aim of this research project is to define a rigorous method covering both the analysis, design and phases of distributed programs based on Java based frameworks.
Hence several research topics, i.e.: methodology, design, implementation, formal methods, semi-formal methods, model driven engineering (MDE/MDA),distributed systems, the Java language and software engineering tools are involved in the definition of such a methodology. Of course, numerous results are already available in this field and therefore the FIDJI project works on the seamless integration and the application of the existing results rather than developing new fundamental theories.
Since 2004, this methdology is currently being refined in the context of a PhD thesis.
