Mathematics Research UnitThe Mathematics Research Unit (Unité de Recherche en Mathématiques) carries out research in mathematics, both on its fundamental and its applied aspects. At the moment the following four research directions are present:
The Mathematics Research Unit organizes the weekly General Mathematics Seminar (Seminaire Mathématique) with speakers from outside and inside the University. Furthermore, the research unit publishes the international mathematical research journal Travaux Mathématiques . Teaching : Jointly with other research units of the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Communication (FSTC), the Mathematics Research Unit offers a programme which leads to the academic degree BASI, filière mathématique ("Bachelor académique en Sciences et Ingénierie, filière mathématiques" - a Bachelor degree in mathematics). Some of our courses are integral part of the other BASI degree programmes and the BASV (Bachelor académique en Sciences de la Vie). Furthermore, we offer the Master in Mathematics programme and participate in the Master of Computer Science of the UL. Address
